How many times during the day do you wonder if you should keep something that someone has e-mailed to you?
An easy way to decide who should keep the e-mail is to follow the “Origination Rule” which states that the person who originates it, keeps it. (This unbeknown to most people, has been passed down for thousands of years.)
This works extremely well unless you work for someone. Then “The Golden Rule” applies. They have the gold so they get to tell you what to do and what to keep (usually everything).
Darn. Guess it’s time to get a promotion.
