Are you causing your assistant to be unproductive? How many times are they held up from completing something because they need to talk with you and can’t—because you are just too busy? Well, excuse you!
Meet with them, or call them if you are traveling (don’t e-mail or text them) three times a day—first thing in the morning, after lunch, and late afternoon. A good time is when they bring in your Inbox contents (if you are one of the lucky ones).
Become accessible. A few minutes invested with them will pay you back tenfold.
If you meet with them, they will produce—a lot more.
