Tip 30. Limit your information sources.

Spread the love

Have you ever stopped to think of all the different ways that you receive information?

It used to be simple—phone calls, paper, manila folders and pink “While you were out” messages in your Inbox. Then came the Information Age. E-mail was a wonderful way to send a memo to a large group—but somehow got out of control and was used as a phone. Instant messaging was a way to interrupt someone you couldn’t reach because they were busy using e-mail. Shrewd!

Smartphones combined e-mail with calendars, phones, cameras, and then you name it. Next Twitter, Twister, Facebook, and Instagram.

Tell me again how much more work you are getting done. As Clint would say, “A man has got to know his limitations.”
Do you know yours?
