How many times a day do you think an average person checks an electronic device?

Again, an average of 150 times. Most people don’t realize that when they are checking a device, they aren’t producing work. Checking texts and e-mail are a great example of this.

If you are constantly checking a device and allowing yourself to be interrupted, when will you get any work done?

Accomplishing work is what your goal is, not checking the status of________________. (Fill in the blank with all of the things you check.)

When you are Processing information (checking devices), you aren’t Producing work (creating results).

Let’s hope you don’t buy any more electronic devices that need to be checked.
