Do you use important and urgent interchangeably? You are not alone. Most people today confuse urgent with important.
Luckily, you can be one of the few to differentiate between them by following these rules:
• Urgent is strictly time-based.
• Important is impact-based.
A task can be important and have a due date. A task can also just be very important with no time frame to be accomplished. This is called a Priority.
Notice how much less stress you experience when you stop treating them the same.
