When you bring your mail in, where do you put it? The dining room table? The hutch in the kitchen? Any open surfaces you can find which are disappearing faster than the ozone layer?
Instead, drop the mail into an Inbox along with any other papers. That way, your papers won’t be scattered from your garage to the top of the refrigerator. Believe it or not, you get to dump all that mail in it all week long without having to do anything with it until Saturday when you get to go through it. Use OATS (Outbox, Action, Trash, Support or Save) to distribute the contents.
If it is in your Inbox, it won’t be anywhere else.
Late breaking news: It’s also okay to have a home Outbox. Your Outbox is a great place to leave your keys or anything else you need to take with you when you leave the house. Just check it every time before you leave and you’ll never forget anything.
That was easy!
Merry Christmas!
