Where do you put items that need to go upstairs when you are downstairs?
From now on, place a basket at the top and the bottom of your stairs. When you have something you need to take upstairs, instead of having to walk it up right then, leave it on the stairs, or just forget about it, you can just drop it into a basket. When you go upstairs, grab what’s in the basket and drop it into an Inbox up there.
It’s the same process for taking something downstairs. Just drop it in the basket and the next time you are going down, grab it.
I know this has its ups and downs, but at least you won’t become a basket case over it.
