Tip 89. Call people who like to listen. E-mail or text people who like to read.

Are your e-mails or phone calls being returned?

If not, you might want to think about enrolling in the Dale Carnegie course, “How to Win Friends and Get People to Call You Back.” If they still aren’t after that, you might want to change how you are communicating with them.

Some people enjoy reading while others enjoy hearing. Actually it goes beyond enjoyment. It has to do with how people process information—some best while reading, others while hearing.

Finding out how others process information will help you get your message across.

The question to ask is “How important is it that the recipients get what you are saying?” How they receive information matters. Not how you like to send it.

Different (key) strokes for different folks.
